July 22 is the Memorial of Saint Mary Magdalene, disciple of the Lord, Apostle to the Apostles (Apostola Apostolorum) and to the Easterners, the Myrrh-bearer. To the Catholic Parish of Amadeo, it is a titular Solemnity in addition to the opening of a special Year in celebration of the 125tyh anniversary of its institution.Let this post be a fitting, however insufficient, tribute to her, "O Mapalad na Magdalena" as the decades old hymn of Amadeans put it.
